About

Hello there,

If you’ve happened to stumble upon this little patch of Internet space, I thank you for visiting. I would offer you some hot tea and cookies, but unfortunately, technology hasn’t advanced that far quite yet (although I hope it will soon).

Wedding day loveliness.

My name is Rebecca, and I love words. So much so, that I decided to study them in college, where I double-majored in Communication & English Literature, and that I decided to pursue them as a profession, as a copy editor extraordinaire. When I’m not writing, here or to friends or professionally, I’m probably reading. I always appreciate a good recommendation, so send one to me here or be my friend on Goodreads.

I got married in June 2012 before moving to New York City from Texas, where I have occupied myself since by learning to cook in my tiny kitchen. And reading lots, as always. I also work full-time as a copy editor for a B2B publications company (a.k.a. I am a professional Grammar Queen and get paid to play in Adobe Creative Suite all day). If you see me on the M31 bus in the mornings or early evenings, don’t be afraid to say “hello.”

When I’m not creating things with my words or with food, I like to explore the Internet. You can peruse some of my favorite findings here and here. The Internet is my not-so-secret addiction.

I hope you enjoy your virtual stay on East 82nd. If you’re reading, it feels a little less like I’m talking to myself.

Best wishes,

Rebecca

    Yours,

    • Hi Katie,

I’m so glad you’ve joined us for this round of Lechbrary! Thanks for checking out the blog. I can’t wait to see what book you select for us all to read. 🙂 Plus, I’m pretty pumped about receiving my books from as nearby as NJ!
